Ontario Science Center

While we were in Toronto, me, dad and Clara went to the Ontario Science Center. It was so amazing! There were lots of snakes and lizards. There was a big one called a water monitor. And there was a huge snake. Well it wasn't very huge but it was very, very, long, it reached the top of the cage.

There were also spy stuff. There was even a little thing that was like a mirror and you could see yourself and the other person on the other side when the light was on (Jason: a one way mirror).

There were dog statues. There were games like a little music room where you could pretend you were a rock star. There was a little shop room where you could play shopping. There were blocks. You could blow bubbles inside the science center.

There were sprinklers outside but we didn't go in them. In the space bit there was a hole and some balls rolling around it and it was just like a black hole in space. She balls spun around and went down the hole.

Outside there was a water instrument. You blocked little holes where water came out and some big pipes made sounds.

Going to Toronto

Last week we went to stay with Urs, Helene and Clara Kehl in Toronto. Chantal's visa was still not here after three weeks and Helene called sayhing that that week was a good one for them so we decided to go for a few days. Here are some photos of our time there. Roshan will write a separate blog about our visit to the Ontario Science Center during our visit which was a real highlight of our stay. We tried to go swimming in the lake but the beaches were closed due to garbage accumulating because of a stike of city workers. The runoff from all the garbage piles was running into the lake and polluting it! We all had a very good, enjoyable and restful stay and were welcomed, as usual, as if it was our own house. Here is a slideshow of a few photos from our time in Toronto.

Hanging out in Montreal

We have been in Canada for three weeks now. Most of the days we have been going to the pool and the park. Yesterday we went to the sprinklers. Sprinklers is a place in the park where water sprays out of different pipes and kids can run through them. It was so fun. There was a palm tree one which was like you were on an island and it was raining. There were little holes that shoot water up iinto the air and there were little turtle floats you can put on top of them to stop the water. You can take the turtles off and the water starts spraying again. There was a climbing frame in the playgound in the shape of a caterpillar. I nearly climbed to its head but it was too hot from the sun. There were monkey bars with ropes for your feet. You go across it and there are balls on the rope and you have to step over them. There was a digger, I will take a picture of it and put it on here if we go back again.

Canada day, the old port and IMAX 3D

On Canada day, we (me and dad) went to the Old Port in Montreal. There were so many things, I didn't know what to do first. There were street performers. One of them swallowed a big balloon. Two of them popped before he could swallow them. It was funny. There were loads of people there. There were bouncy castles, actually, the one that I went on was a bouncy elephant. I got a balloon horse from a lady doing balloon stuff and who was wearing a funny balloon hat. I got an ice cream which I didn't really eat because it was raspberry and I didn't like it so dad had to eat it. I was at a little pond, sitting there with my feet in it and having lots of fun. I saw a seagull get something from in the water. I don't know what it was. We looked at some ships.

The next day we went to the cinema. We saw a movie called Under the Sea 3D. I was scared and amazed. There were sea snakes that looked like they were actually coming towards us! There was also a shark and we got to watch a turtle eat a jellyfish.

Biodome photos

Here are some photos of my visit to the biodome.......

Hope you will enjoy them.

Visiting the biodome

One day, we went to the biodome, just me and dad.   The biodome is just like a zoo but it's like you're actually like visiting the rainforest and penguins.    There is loads of things, I don't know which one to write about first.   There were Caymens and can you guess what was with them?  Turtles or tortoises!!!   We saw loads of fish and there were bats, birds, snakes and frogs.  We even got to see ring tailed lemurs from Madagascar up close.   It's ok, there was a fence.  They were running and climbing trees and jumping but none of them sang "I like to move it move it".

There was a sign with a bird on it that said: I may be friendly but do not touch me.     There were penguins but none of them were fighting like the penguins of Madagascar.   That wasn't even part of it.

I like to go to the biodome each time we come to Montreal.

It's a girl... no a boy... no a girl

So, our passports finally arrived. We had waited and waited for so so so so so so long. I did the happy/sad dance. You act like you are happy and say happy, happy, happy and then you act like you are sad and say sad, sad, sad. Because I am happy to go but I'm sad to leave. And then mom realized that there was a mistake in my passport. The mistake was that they put M for male instead of F for female. I was angry when daddy teased me about being a boy. Mummy said things about dressing me up as a boy. So we had to go to Washington DC to get the mistake fixed. We went to the museum to pass the time while we were waiting for the mistake to be fixed which took 3 hours. The museum was awesome and scary to me. It had dinosaurs which scared me a bit, actually, it scared me quite a bit. There were fake mammals that really looked furry. There were gems and minerals but we didn't get to see them because we didn't have enough time. There were insects. And then we went out of the museum and bought some pizza which we ate in the car. Then we went to get the fixed passport. We then went straight to Montreal. We got there in two days and we stopped in a hotel. I really liked playing in the closet. Then we arrived in Montreal.
